The time-honoured myth in Irish marriage was always that the hardworking husband was entitled to sex on demand from his other half, whether she likes it or not.

When we were little boys and girls, and we dreamed of growing up and being married and having a family, we never thought this was what life could have in store. It’s this thought that’s captured in this work, turning the iconography and symbolism of children’s fairy tales on its head.
